Automobile Accident

$2,000,000.00 (Approx.)  from settlement of $1,500,000.00 with structure approximately awarded to a 14 year old boy who while riding a bicycle and allegedly “zig sagging” in and out of a crosswalk was struck by a van.  The award was one of the highest in Westchester County for that year.Injuries:  Traumatic head injury.  Fortunately, he made a remarkable recovery with minimal signs of deficits.

$1,675,000.00 awarded to a 34 year old man who was injured when operating a vehicle and was caused to strike another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction which suddenly turned left in front of him.Injuries:   Back surgery, shoulder surgery and shoulder surgery.

Premises Liability

$1,000,018.00 awarded to the family of a 1 year old infant who fell into a bucket of water and drowned.  The parents had been complaining to the landlord about a continuously leaking ceiling in their apartment.  Instead of fixing the leak, the landlord gave the family a bucket in which the infant later fell into and drowned.   Our firm represented the parents of a one year old infant who fell into a bucket of water and drowned at the family’s apartment. The apartment had a continuously leaking ceiling that the parents had repeatedly complained to the landlord about. Instead of fixing the problem, the landlord gave the family a bucket to gather the water. Tragically, their baby, a thirteen month old infant, fell into the bucket and drowned.

Workplace Accident

$1,000,000.00 awarded to a 36 year old union plasterer who fell while working on stilts taping and spackling walls at a premises he was hired to do work at. Damages:  He sustained an injury to his ankle requiring arthroscopic surgery with a second procedure to irrigate a resulting infection that  subsequently developed.
