Our firm represents a female skate boarder who severely fractured her wrist after her board hit a broken and cracked sidewalk. The sidewalk was adjacent to a New York City landmark , the 2nd Avenue Deli. The historic delicatessen had become one of the most popular eating establishments in Manhattan. However, it had recently been forced to close down after its landlord excessively raised its rent. The closing down of this landmark deli caused unsuccessful protests by neighborhood activists. Our firm’s subsequent lawsuit against the landlord was seen as poetic justice to the unjust treatment of the deli. The firm's Principal, Michael S. Lamonsoff was interviewed and provided a commentary to the New York Post.
